I have just taken part in a couple of tag swaps both locally with a group of crafting ladies I know and online with some designers from The Bugbytes and She's A Sassy Lady blogs. I loved making the tags, but even more I loved all the little beauties that I got back. Here is the tag that I made for the online swap.
Here is a look at what I did. First my ingredients - a tag, water, distress inks and Glimmer Mist.
My first step was to pat the ink pad on to my craft mat, I used Broken China.
Then I sprayed over them with water until the colours formed large droplets.
Then the messy (I mean fun) part, I swirled the tag around.
This is how the tag looked.
I dried it off a little with my heat tool, and then repeated the process again using both Broken China and Iced Spruce ink pads.
The next step was to run the tag through a snowflake embossing folder and spritz with Opaque Glimmer Mist.
Lastly I used a paint sponge and some acrylic paint to finish off the edges.
To embellish I used a tree from the Silhouette online store, and dabbed a little more acrylic paint on the branches for snow, and the ornaments are made from Card Candy.
The word 'Believe' I wrote using the
Chomas Adjustable Pen Holder on my Silhouette Cameo, and then finished it off with a little snowflake bling which I bought from
Artsy (my not so local scrapbook store.)
I was really pleased with the end result.
And then I was thrilled when I received these in the mail a few weeks later.
If want to take a look at the takes more closely and see how some of them were made, take at look at the following blogs:
They are all so beautiful - thank you ladies so very much for your gorgeous creations, and thank you also to Pam for organizing this.
I hope you will join me tomorrow to look at the beautiful tags that I received from my local crafting ladies.
