'Cinco de Mayo' - Sassy Studios FaceBook Challege (May15th - June 14th)

Hi Everyone

Today sees the start of a new challenge over on the Sassy Studio Designs FaceBook Page.  The theme for this challenge is 'Cinco de Mayo' - I just had to play along because I wanted to mount this little sassy on an Action Wobble Spring and make her dance (see the video at the end of this post.)

Both the background paper and the 'Fiesta' sentiment are files from the Silhouette online store.  I used the Cameo to print n cut the image and then coloured her with ProMarkers.

Then I added the Action Wobble Spring - she needed to dance of course!

Sassy Studios Monthly Progressive Challenge April - "For The Ladies"

Hi Everyone

Welcome to the beginning of our monthly progressive challenge over on our FaceBook Fan Page. This will be our 12th challenge, and I really encourage you to join us - there are some fabulous creations from the participants.

Each  month on our FB page Lindsay gives away a free sassy image for you to create with, and this month it is a great image for creating a card or gift for Mother's Day.  Our theme this month is 'For The Ladies' - a project for a gift card. Here is my project.

When you open up the card, it has a little pocket to hold a gift card, or certificate that you have made yourself.

This box is from a file from the Silhouette online store (the paper I used is from DCWV 'Lady Couture' stack)

Of course it need a label that would match the card.

And then a few extra goodies (decorated of course) inside.

So if you would like to join us for the challenge with this image, here is what you need to do (and of course there are a couple of rules):

• You MUST use the Monthly Progressive Sassy Studio Designs image
• You MUST create a project based on the current challenge theme
• You have until 11:59pm EDT on May 13th to upload your creation in the Monthly Progressive Challenge #12 album.  (Your photo has to be uploaded to the album to be eligible for the prize)
• You may enter as often as you wish during the month long time
• By accepting the SSD freebie image, you agree to follow the SSD Terms of Use

The Cat's Meow - Sassy Studios FaceBook Challenge

Hi Everyone

Today over on Sassy Studios Facebook page is the beginning of a new monthly progressive challenge.  If you are joining us for the first time, or joined us last month and took part in the challenge you are able to get this months image for free.  All the details on how to get your image are on our Face Book page, I really hope you will come and join in the fun.

The theme for the challenge this month is 'Hearts and a Sassy Sentiment' - here's my card.

I decided to go with some very non-traditional valentine colours because I just love this paper (DCWV 'Natural Stack'.)  I used my Cameo to print and cut the image, coloured her with ProMarkers and added some hearts (sizzix die), ribbon, and a sentiment (computer generated.)  Here is a closer look showing the sparkle on her costume after I went over it with a Clear Wink of Stella glitter pen.

Right on Target for Thanksgiving

Hi Everyone

First off I would like to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving - hope that you all have very special and memorable days whatever you are doing.

Today I have a card for the Simply Betty Stamps November Fan Page Challenge - and I have just made it by the skin of my teeth!  Betty created two really cute images for us, and I chose to play with this one Pilgrim Corinne, isn't this image just too funny?

I printed this all out using my Silhouette Cameo and coloured the image with ProMarkers.  The sentiment is made using the Silhouette sketch pens and a Lettering Delights font called 'Printed', the finishing touch is a little card candi coloured with the ProMarkers to match Corinne's outfit.

Come Gaze Into My Crystal Ball...

Hi Everyone

Today I have a card that I made with the Facebook Freebie from Simply Betty Stamps - thank you Betty!  There were actually 2 images available (one for free and the other for $1.00) and I chose 'Fortune Teller Betty'.  Check out the details here for how to get the image and join in the challenge.

For this image the challenge was to use rhinestones and crystal glaze.. The rhinestones you can see clearly, but the crystal glaze on the crystal ball of the image is hard to see because I placed acetate over the whole thing to represent the 'glass'.  Here are a couple of photos showing the light reflecting off the acetate.

This was such a fun image to colour and create with.

Happy Fall Y'All - Paper Craft Planet Progressive Challenge (Free Sassy Studios Image)

Hi Everyone

Today is the beginning of the new progressive challenge over at Paper Craft Planet.   The theme for challenge #6 is "Fall" and runs from today through November 14th, so you have a whole month to play along.  Lindsay the artist behind Sassy Studio Designs very generously is giving away this image for you to create with.

Don't you just love Scarecrow Sassy?  BUT REMEBER - Please respect Lindsay's art and do not share Sassy Studio Designs images even though they are free.  Please refer your friends to join PCP so that they can receive their own image.  Thank You.

Here is my project.

The wreath is made from a file from the Silhouette online store and cut using my Cameo.  All the papers I used are my Heidi Grace and are from a paper project kit I bought from Joanns.  I used my Cameo to print and cut out the image and then coloured her with ProMarkers.

'Oktoberfest' - Progressive Challenge (with a FREE IMAGE!)

Today marks the beginning of a new challenge over at Paper Craft Planet with a free image from Sassy Studios.  The theme for this month is 'Oktoberfest' - you will be able to choose ONE of the TWO images that are available.

Here is my card using 'Cheers Sassy'.

I used my Cameo to print 'n' cut the image, then coloured her with ProMarkers.  The German flag is made up with card stock from my stash, and the sentiment is cut out of vinyl.  Here is a look at he inside.

I used my Cameo to print n cut the image and then coloured her with ProMarkers, I also printed the background paper and cut the 'cogs and label with my Cameo.

She is actually mounted on an action wobble spring, so she 'dances' - but sadly I could not get the video to upload :(

Ahoy! A New Progressive Challenge

Ahoy Everyone!

Join us for the second progressive challenge from Sassy Studios over at Paper Craft Planet.  The theme of this new challenge is 'Patriot' and there are 3 (yes THREE!) free (yes FREE) images up for grabs.

If you joined in with last month's challenge or are joining us for the first time  'Army Honey' is available to you for free.  Each month that you enter the challenge, you will receive the following month's image for free...and so on.  If you are unable to participate one month, you may still join the fun by purchasing the current month's image by asking for a discount code to purchase for 1/2 off.  To find out how to get your first image head on over to Paper Craft Planet.

I created a card using  'Sailor Honey' which is one of the other images you can request once you have created a project with 'Army Honey'.

I love this image, she is just so darn cute, after I finished colouring her with my ProMarkers  I couldn't resist putting an Action Wobble Spring behind her for a little more fun.  Here she is in 'action'.

New Progressive Challenge by Sassy Studios over at Paper Craft Planet

Hi Everyone

A very quick post today to tell you about a new progressive challenge by Sassy Studios over at Paper Craft Planet. This challenge is a month long, and runs from May 15th - June 14th - the best part is you get this gorgeous sassy graduation image to create with absolutely free.

Here is the card I created for this challenge.

I created this for my daughters BFF Lexie who graduated last week and will be going to graduate school in France next year (hence the French flag as a background.)

I used my Cameo to Print n cut the image, and coloured her with ProMarkers.  The sentiment is from a file from the Silhouette online store (I actually cut it out in vinyl!)  The flowers are made using a die from Elizabeth Crafts.
