Back To School - Love To Create

Hi Everyone

Today the card I made for the Love To Create 'Back to School' challenge, is using a beautiful image from our sponsor Simply Betty Stamps.  This image is called 'Artist London' and is available here.

The paper that I used is an old pack from Close To My Heart (sorry I don't remember the name of it.) The roses and leaves are made with dies from Cheery Lynn, and the blue bow around the top corner is a die from Memory Box.

I cut my image using my Cameo (print 'n' cut) and coloured her with ProMarkers.  I added the sentiment on the canvas using my Cameo and the Silhouette sketch pens.

I made this card for my daughter who recently graduated university and is starting her first job in WA, (a long way from us in Colorado.)  So although this is not a 'Back To School' card I feel that it would be appropriate given the rest of the sentiment inside.)

I finished up the project with a matching envelope.

Thought I would also enter this into:
  1. Simply Challenged Challenge - Something for a teacher.

Thanks for stopping by, take a look at all the DT projects over on Love To Create and join us for the challenge.

Bon Voyage Girly!

Hi Everyone

Today I have a card which I made for 2 challenges.  Sassy Studios is sponsoring two challenges, the first is from Left of Center - the theme for this challenge is 'Girly'.  The second challenge is from Crafts 4 Eternity - the theme for this is 'Time to Go/Travel'.  Here is my card.

The image that I have used is France Honey, she is cut using the Cameo and coloured with ProMarkers.  The papers I used for the card are from the 'Be Mine' paper stack (Echo Park).

The swirl and flowers are made using various die cuts from Cheery Lynn dies.

Once again I took a piece of matching card stock and made an envelope.

Thanks for looking at my project today, don't forget to pop over to Sassy Studio and check out the rest of the projects from the DT.

Until next time.

Fill Your Glass - (The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog)

Hi Everyone

Today I am here with a card for TCCCB - our sponsor this week is Rick St Dennis.  The theme for this week is 'Bling and Sparkly Things'.  The image I have used is called 'Martini Bianca', and she was just too much fun to colour.

My image is coloured with ProMarkers, and I used my Cameo to cut it out.  The glitter paper is from DCWV, and although the photo doesn't show it well, it is very sparkly.

This is what it says inside.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you will stop on over to TCCCB and check out all the inspiration from the DT.

My Favourite Bookworm (Crafty Bloggers Network)

Hi Everyone

Time for a little bit of inspiration for the 'My Favourite Things' challenge over at CBN.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Sarah Hurley, and so I created my project with her Book Worm Digi Scrapbooking/Craft Kit.

There are a couple of little cuties I know, who have been working very hard on their reading so far this summer (even though it is not their most favourite thing) - I thought this might be a little incentive.

I used the paper 'Library Cards' and a couple of the embellishments to make toppers for these bags of 'worms'.

Just a really simple project, but I am loving the different ways I am discovering using digital supplies for various projects.  Hope you will take a peek and see what the rest of the DT have made and join us for the challenge over at CBN.

See you next time.

The image I used is called 'Raining Duck' and is coloured completely with ProMarkers.  This type of folded card is called a 'Joy-Fold' and there is a great tutorial for it here.

Here is a list of the materials I used:

Blue Patterned Paper - Colorbok
Silver Paper - DCVW
ProMarkers
Sentiment - computer generated.

Here is the card from a different angle and a look inside.

I hope you will hop over to Love To Create and check out all the beautiful projects from the other designers, and join in with the challenge.

Love To Create - Colour Inspired Challenge

Hi Everyone

Today my project for the Love To Create challenge is inspired by this photo/colour palette.

This week we are being sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs and the image I have used is 'Red Hot Honey'.

I used my Cameo to print n cut her, and then coloured the image with ProMarkers.  The background paper is Ki 'Berry Blast' (Hampton Arts), I also used a branch and flower dies (Memory Box) to add a little dimension to the side.

Here is a look at the inside.  The sentiment stamp is from a SU set called 'My Friend', and the tape at the bottom is from Hampton Arts (dollar bin at Walmart.)

Thanks for stopping by today - don't forget to join us for the challenge over at Love To Create, and check out all the great projects by the DT.

'Friendship' - Lacy Sunshine (The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog)

Hi Everyone

Today I have a DT card for the 'Friendship' challenge over at TCCCB.  Our sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine, and I have used the artists Heather's incredibly cute image 'Treacle- Toffee Apple Sticky Wings'.

The image is coloured with ProMarkers, and I added a little stickles (Victorian Velvet on the wings, and Copper on the toffee.)  The paper is from DCWV, and the 'toffee' dribbling down from the top of the page is made using the Martha Stewart 'Drippy Goo' punch (coloured with 'Henna' ProMarker.) The sentiment is computer generated (Lettering Delights 'Tall Girl' Font.)  Here is a closer look.

Here is what the inside looks like.

I hope you will join us for the challenge over at TCCCB and take a look at the beautiful creations from the rest of the DT.

Until next time.

Wow - two posts in one day!  If you are looking for my card for the Love To Create Challenge please scroll down to the next post.

Today my DT project for The Crafty Bloggers Network is a digital layout using Sarah Hurley's 'Book Worm' Digital/Hybrid Scrapping Kit.  Just the perfect kit for this page to show off some of my all time favorite books, and I just love those little bookworms crawling along the shelf!

Digi scrapping kits are so versatile, I hope you will check out what the rest of the DT did with this kit at CBN, and while you are there join in with the challenge which is 'My Favorite Things'.

80's To The Max - Sassy Studios and Corrosive Challenge Blog Hop

Hi Everyone

Welcome to the "80's To The Max' Blog Hop" - this is a combined blog hop between Sassy Studio Designs and The Corrosive Challenge Blog.  Lindsay has created some fabulous images for this new release - a real 'blast from the past', so hop along with us to see all the great creations, reminisce a little, leave some comments and win some prizes.  If you have arrived here from Judy's blog you are on the right track, if you've stumbled across this by chance you may want to go back to the beginning and start at Sassy Studio Designs.

I love all the images in this release - but I was so excited when I got this image to create with.

I just love Jessica Rabbit!  The only thing I was worried about when colouring her, was her hair - but I am pretty pleased with the way it came out in the end.  I spent quite a bit of time on the internet looking at images of her so that I could her sparkly dress and purple opera gloves just right.  The whole image is coloured using ProMarkers, I used Diamond Stickles (painted on with a brush) to add sparkles to her dress, and Glossy Accents to add shine to those shoes. The sentiment is created using Silhouette sketch pens and 'Tall Girl' Lettering Delights font.  The background paper is from K & Company ('Cupid Specialty Pack') and then I used some rub-ons from my stash to put numbers on the dots.

Then on to the inside...

The image of Roger Rabbit is a children's colouring page that I downloaded from the internet.

I had just one more piece of this patterned paper left and so I decided to finish the project off with a matching envelope.

I hope you will join us for the challenge which is on the Corrosive Challenge Blog (there are freebies available,) and continue to enjoy all the fabulous creations from both Design Teams. Don't forget to leave a comment on each blog, and try to answer the trivia questions on the first and last blog for a chance to win prizes (and there are lots of prizes up for grabs!)
