Petal Box and Mini Cards

Hi Everyone

Today I am guest designer over at The Bugbytes - as always Pam thank you for allowing me to play in your space.  Today I have a really cute Petal Box which is a brand new file created by Kelleigh Ratzlaff which is available here at The Digichick.

Here is a look at the box (before I decorated it up.)

As with all Kelleigh's file this box is super easy to put together - I cut this on my Cameo, folded along the score lines and put some glue on a couple of the tabs DONE!

Before you see the decorated box, here is a look at the stamp on the bottom inside of the box - this is from a Stampin' Up set called 'Circle of Friendship'.

I wanted to make some mini cards to put inside, so I searched through my scraps and found enough matching paper to make 6 minis.  All the paper is from My Minds Eye 'Lost and Found' and the stamps are mainly from a Close to My Heart set called 'It's Your Day'.

Then I set about decorating the outside - armed with more scraps and stamps, this is how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Moving In, Moving On - Digital Layouts (and something extra)

I thought that it was about time that I dabbled with digital layouts again, and Kelleigh Ratzlaff over at The Digi Chick gave me a great excuse by releasing some fun new digital paper packs called Summer Lovin'.  Just take a peek at the cute Patterned Papers and the adorable Mini Polka Dot Papers.  Also check out Kelleigh's Facebook Page, become a fan and get the Solids Paper Pack for free, (she is also giving away a free printable Father's Day Card and a layered psd card template.)

I decided to make LO's of my youngest daughter going off to university.  I can't believe she has already finished her freshman year and I have only just scrapped the photos of the day she moved into her dorm!

Here is the second one.

These are both pretty simple LO's using papers from the Summer Lovin' pack and a couple of free templates designed by Jen Martakis available over at Two peas In A Bucket.

I love all the papers in this set, so decided to have a go at using the print and cut feature on my Cameo to make 'something else'.  Just got this stamp from Archivers, and with Father's Day so close, I knew my husband would be the perfect recipient of this card.

Love the way this turned out.  The image is from Art Impressions 'Lazy Boy', coloured with ProMarkers - and I just had to mount him on an Action Wobble Spring.  The sentiment inside the card reads "Recliner, remote,TV tray...there's a "nap" for that."

Thanks for stopping by.

Funky/Fancy Bags (day 3)

Here are the final three bags.  These are Fancy Bag file, also available from Kelleigh Ratzlaff's store at The Digi Chick (also with the FREE scallop file.)

The paper for these bags is from K & Company Edamame Stack (it's double sided so provided the perfect contrast paper for the scallop.)  To the front flap I attached some coins I picked up at the local Asian market.

The fun happens when you turn these bags around and see the cute little panda attached with an Action Wobble Spring.

This panda was cut from a free file called Kyoto Kuties, by Jin at Under A Cherry Tree.  (Such an adorable set!)

Here is a look at the back of the panda at the action wobble spring.

So here are all the bags ready and waiting to go - I hope everyone likes them.

Until next time.

Funky/Fancy Bags (day 2)

Here are my second group of treat bags for my scrap booking retreat in August.

These are Funky Bag #2 file, and are available from Kelleigh Ratzlaff's store over at The Digi Chick - don't forget the FREE scallops file that I mentioned on Monday that goes with them.  I just love how quickly and easily my Silhouette Cameo can cut these.

This paper is also from DCWV Lady Couture stack, the rosettes are made with paper from Stampin' Up, and the butterflies are made using a Martha Stewart punch.  A link to the tutorial to make the rosettes can be found here. I added a couple of pearls to the butterflies and inked up the rosettes - here are some close-ups.

Hope you will join me on Friday to see the last bags I made.

Funky/Fancy Bags Galore (and a free file!)

In August I am going to a scrap booking retreat with a bunch of fun ladies,  I can hardly wait.  I have a few little goodies I want to give them, so decided that this week I would make some cute bags to give my gifts in.  I didn't want to make them all the same, so I headed over to The Digi Chick and got these cute bag files from Kelleigh Ratzlaff.

Here are the first three bags.

These are Funky Bag #1 file, and when you buy this file you get the option to get the Fancy/Funky Bag Scallops file for FREE.  The bags go together very quickly, they are all in one piece and only need a good adhesive on one flap to make them complete, (the scallop can be adhered once the bag is assembled.)

The paper I used is from DCWV Lady Couture, the flowers (Silhouette file) and scallop trims are from DCWV Glitzy Glitter Brights stack.  The bags are finished off with some ribbon, faceted gems and  Candi  by Craftwork Cards (I love those little things!)

Here's a closer look.

Thanks for stopping by today - hope you will join me on Wednesday and Friday for some more Funky and Fancy bags.

Seed Packet Card - Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

Today I have a a couple of special projects for you.  They are special because they are a sneak peek of Kelleigh's newest file over at The Digi Chick.  the file will be available tomorrow here Seed Packet Card.  You will see listed below all the blogs you can visit and check out what  Kelleighs Creative Team have done with this file. There are two prizes of $10.00 gift certificates to Kelleighs store - for a chance to win one just leave a comment here and on the other blogs, the more comments you leave the more chances you have to win.  How easy is that?  The deadline to make comments is Thursday 26th April at 9.00pm (Eastern).  Winners will be announced on Kelleighs blog on Friday.

Here are the blogs you can visit.

So now on with the projects.  I'm sure Kelleigh was reading my mind when she designed this file.  I needed a 'little something' for my friends grandchildren, they are moving to a new house and will have a new garden.  So my 'little something' is this... Seed Packet Cards :)

Here is a look at the inside.

This file is super easy to put together.  The paper I used is 'Greenhouse' by Carolyn Gavin (K & Company),  the bird and butterfly are from Lettering Delight files (cut with my Cameo of course) - and just for fun I mounted them on Action Wobble Springs.  I used MTC software to spiral and print the sentiment "How does your garden grow?" (I only just learned how to do this this weekend - thank you Anita!)

I love the way these turned out, but got to thinking about other things that you could put in the pocket of this card - so much fun stuff, my head was spinning with ideas.  Here is what I did.

I thought that this would be a fun little gift to give to someone who needs to be pampered, inside is a small packet of homemade bath salts, (but it could just as easily hold a gift certificate for a mani/pedi.)

I also finished off the inside by making a closure (not sure exactly what this type is called) for the packet, and stamping a sentiment.

The paper I used for this card is 'Posh' (Teresa Collins), 'spa diva' stamp by Rubber Romance, sentiment stamp (Hampton Arts), a flower and 'bling' from my stash.

Thanks for checking out my projects today, I hope you will leave a comment and check out the other fun projects on the blogs listed above.

Travel Game Set

Hi Everyone

I'd like to start off by saying thank you to everyone who visited and/or left comments over the weekend for the blog hop.  I've never taken part in a blog hop before, your comments were truly appreciated and I hope you found as much inspiration as I did from visiting all the other talented crafters.

Today my project is a little travel game set.

The box that holds all these goodies comes from The Digi Chick.  This template is designed by Kelleigh Ratzlaff, and comes with 2 different sized boxes.  The smaller box is designed to fit a standard pack of cards - how much fun to gift a set of cards in a personalized box?  I decided to use the larger box as I had a few more items to fit in.  The paper I used for this is 'Greenhouse' designed by Carolyn Gavin from K & Co.

The first thing I made was the tic-tac-toe game.  The base is cut from card stock using part of the template, and then adhered to a piece of magnetic material .  The lines are strips cut from some remnants of vinyl, and the game pieces punched with a 1" circle punch (they are also adhered to the magnetic material.)

I added this cute little matchbook which is a Silhouette file from the online store.

I decided the outside of the box had to be fun too, so I used a maze and the "Totally A-maze-ing" stamp set (both from Stampin' Up.)  I have to admit to wasting quite a bit of time while I was creating, trying to get the little balls into the center of the maze :)

The box itself went together so quickly, it is just cut in one piece and glued on one side so that you can open it at either end.  Everything fits in there so perfectly - I may just add a little pencil and some candy to make it complete.  Just something fun if you have little ones and a long car/plane ride in your future.

Thanks for stopping by today.

A Sweet Treat To Set You In A Spin

Hi Everyone.  Sorry it's been so long since my last post, but once again real life has been getting in the way (hate it when that happens!)

I really love today's project - these candy dispensers are just way too cute.  The file is from The Digi Chick, designed by Kelleigh Ratzlaff and, as usual, is super easy to assemble.

The spinner on the top of the box is from Stampin' Up, a set called 'Take a Spin' - you can also buy the arrow spinner brads which add to the fun.

The sentiment on the top of the dispenser is computer generated, and the font is called 'Petticoat Twist'.

The paper I used for the project is from Cosmo Cricket, and the bunny stamp (which I cut out and stuck to the front) is from Rubber Stampede.

The great thing about these dispensers is that you can open the top and refill them.  Wouldn't they look great made in acetate and filled with colorful jelly beans?

Thanks for taking a peek at my project today.
