More 'Metal Magic' Inspiration - The Crafty Bloggers Network

Hi Everyone

I'm here today with a little more inspiration for the The Crafty Bloggers Network (CBN) current challenge 'Metal Magic' which is being sponsored by Lacy Sunshine.

This image is called 'Emily - Spring Blossom Showers' - she is coloured completely with ProMarkers.  The 3D gate basket is a file from the Silhouette online store, cut with the Cameo from American Craft card stock, and finished off with a few metal flowers brads (Joanns).

I hope you will join us over at CBN, and come check out the rest of the inspiration frm the DT.

Have a Cool Birthday

Hi Everyone

Today I have a card that I made using a free image from The Stamping Chef called 'Surf's Up'.  Each week on their  FaceBook page they give away an image for free for you to create with and join in the challenge.  The image is only available for 24 hours and then after that it goes into the store at a discounted rate, you can find 'Surf's Up' image here.

So this is my card.

I used my Cameo to print and cut the image, and then coloured it with ProMarkers, the sentiment is made using Silhouette Sketch pens and a Lettering Delights font (Essome)  The paper is from Graphic 45 'Tropical Travelogue'.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

  1. Inky Chicks - Summer Colours
  2. Through The Craftroom Door - Anything Goes
  3. Tuesday Throwdown - Toes In The Sand
  4. The Crafting Cafe - Summer's Here

See you next time.

Chef Lola and a 'Naughty' Cupcake

Hi Everyone

I am so excited to tell you that I am now on the Creative Fingers Challenge Blog Design Team!

creative fingers design team

I am thrilled to be working with such a talented bunch of ladies, I hope you will stop by the Creative Fingers Challenge Blog to check out all their creations and join in with the challenges.  The sponsor for this month is Lacy Sunshine, and I have used one of my favorite images 'Chef Lola' - although this is one of the 'retiring images' she is still available for $1.00 in the store.

I thought that I would use her to decorate my acetate cupcake box (this box is a file from the Silhouette online store.) I tried several test cuts with my Cameo on the acetate with varying rates of success, the setting I ended up using (and also installed as a 'custom setting')  was Speed 1, Thickness 33, Blade Depth 8 and double cut.  But a word to the wise - DO NOT UNLOAD YOUR MAT UNTIL YOU ARE SURE IT HAS CUT ALL THE WAY THROUGH, on one piece I did end up going over once more with a single cut.

The 'naughty cupcake' is actually a pair of silky panties!  Well I've made cupcakes with baby onsies and bibs, but thought that this would make a fun bachelorette gift. I used my Cameo to print n cut the image, and then coloured her with ProMarkers.

I would like to enter this project into the following challenges:

  1. Creative Moments - Anything But A Card
  2. Pollycraft Challenges - Ruby Red
  3. Sparkle N Sprinkle - Anything But A Card

Thanks for stopping by today.

Lets Hear It For 'The Girls'

Hi Everyone

Today Sassy Studios is sponsoring 2 challenges - C.R.A.F.T. Challenge (their theme is 'For The Girls') and Dutch Dare Card Challenge (their theme is 'Stitches'.)  Here's my card.

I love 'Pink Ribbon Sassy' - I just wish I didn't find myself using her quite so much these days :(
The image is coloured completely with ProMarkers, the background paper is a mixture of paper from Hobby Lobby, DCWV and Heidi Swapp.  And yes - I did dust off my sewing machine to do the stitching around the image!  The pink ribbon and 'gem' are from my stash.

I left the inside of this card blank for my own personal message, inked the edges of the white paper and added a strip of the patterned paper.

I hope you will check out the other projects from the DT at Sassy Studios and join us for one (or both) of the challenges.

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:
  1. Crafts and Me - Anything Goes
  2. Divas By Design - Anything Goes
  3. Lady Annes Challenges - Anything Goes
  4. The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes
  5. Bearly Mine - Anything Goes
  6. Tip Top Tuesday - Spooled item
  7. Link Up For Pink

Make sure you take care of 'Your Girls'.  Until next time.

Come Up and See Me....

Hi Everyone

Today I am here with my first official creation as a member of the DT for The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog (TCCCB).  Our sponsor for this challenge is Rick St Dennis, I hope you will check out his etsy store because he has some fabulous images.  The image I chose to create with is 'Mae the come up and see me girl.'

She was such a fun image to play with.  I used my Cameo to print n cut her and then coloured her with ProMarkers.  The wine bottle is a file from the Silhouette online store (ID #5035) which I made into a shaped card.  Here is a closer look at Mae and some of the 'bling'.

I don't think I have misquoted 'Mae' as I'm sure she must have said this sometime in her life....

Pop over to TCCCB to take a look at the wonderful projects from the rest of the design team, join in the challenge and you may even snag yourself a prize.

Thanks for stopping by.
