Everyone Deserves A Happily Ever After (Sassy Studios May Release Blog Hop)

Hi Everyone

Welcome to the Sassy Studios May Release Blog Hop.

You should have arrived here from Karal's Blog, but if you've just happened upon the hop by chance you may want to go back to the very beginning and start at Sassy Studios so that you don't miss anything.

Lindsay's images for this release are based on the characters of 'Ever After High', with another special image and some sentimints which are perfect for Father's Day.

So on with my project - I got to create with Raven.  I have actually given her a little bit of a make-over with a different hair colour for the happily ever after she wants and deserves :)

Your next stop along the way is Kitty's Blog.  Just in case you get lost here is a complete list of all the blogs in order.
I hope you can join in the chat on the Sassy Studios Party Blog from 5-7pm PST.  Don't forget to leave some love on each blog, you may win a prize, and who knows what other goodies there are in store???? Thanks for stopping by.  See you next time.

Hi Everyone

Today I am guest designer over at A Scrap N Place - thanks once again Terri for letting me play at your place.  I have another project today with a Prima Doll, it's a card that I made with two of the newer dolls (which Terri has in the store.)

Here is a list of the supplies used:

Prima Dolls - 'Shay' and 'Tasha' (also 'Boutique' for the hats/bags)
Authentique Paper 'Classique'
Tim Holtz 'Brick Wall' embossing folder
Grey Card stock
Acetate (for the shop window)
Pearl and flower punch (for hat decoration)

Here are a few more close-ups.

I had so much fun making this card that I decided to make a second card to keep for myself.

'Good Times' Card (Love To Create)

Hi Everyone

Time for a new challenge over at Love To Create, this week the theme is 'Cute with Dies and Punches.'  This week we are being sponsored by Whoopsi Daisy, and they gave us some really cute images to work with.

I used my ProMarkers to colour this image, and the paper is from K & Co 'Sweet Nectar'  The sentiment is a rub-on from my stash (I think from Paper Wishes.)

It is not very easy to see from the photo but I paper pieced the 'bunting'.

I used a bow die from Memory box, and the MS butterfly punch with a little added 'bling'.

No card would be complete with the matching envelope, would it?

Thanks for stopping by today, I do hope you will stop over at Love To Create to check out all the great projects from the DT and join us for the challenge.

Until next time.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my project, hope to see you next time.

Baby Shower Bag (Another One Of 'Those' Pink Bags!)

Hi Everyone

Today Sassy Studios is sponsoring the challenge over at Left Of Center, the theme is 'Girly'. Also, over on our SSD FaceBook Page it is Flashback Friday, where we feature projects with some of the older images you may have forgotten about (or may be didn't even know existed - oh my!)  This week we are featuring the beautiful Pregnant Pinup.

So, I just happened to have another one of these pink bags laying around needing a 'face-lift,' (no I don't spend all my money in this store - but have daughters who do!)

I used my Cameo to print n cut the image, then coloured her with ProMarkers, the background paper is from Webster's Pages, the ribbon, button brads and charm are from my stash.

I added a little vinyl to the back of the bag, and my project was complete - now I just need an invite to a baby shower so that I can use it!

Thanks for stopping by to check out my project today.  See you next time.

Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head Card - A Scrap N Place

Hi Everyone

I am guest designer over at A Scrap N Place  again - thank you Terri.  Today I have a cute card which I made with one of the Prima Doll stamp and die sets.  I am having waaaaay too much fun with these (I feel like a little girl again!)

The trickiest part of the card was getting the song lyrics around the outside of the card, which I did with my Silhouette Cameo (this could also be done on a computer word program.)

I am starting to get a bit brave with these dolls and drawing a couple of features on the face (it's a work in progress.)  I also added an umbrella - cut from a file on the Silhouette Cameo.

Here is a list of the supplies used, available from A Scrap N Place:
  • Prima Doll Stamps (and die)
  • Authentique Paper – Classique - Elegant
  • Grey card stock
  • Pink card stock
  • Black Pearls
  • Swiss Dots embossing folder
Thanks for stopping by today.  See you next time.

What's the Buzz - Love To Create (Sketch Challenge)

Hi Everyone

We have a new challenge over at Love To Create, and this week we are being sponsored by Stamp Art Designs and Yours & Mine.  Here is the sketch.

And this is how I interpreted it.

This image is called 'Hap-Bee-Bee', and just goes perfectly with a bunch of digital papers that I have.  Here is a look at the back of the notecard.

Of course, I couldn't just stop at one.

Then I had to make matching envelopes.

Thanks for stopping by today to check out my project, hope you will join us over at Love To Create for this weeks sketch challenge.  See you next time.

It's Me In Digi!

Hi Everyone

I have a special post today with one of my very newest digital images - ME!  Betty, from Simply Betty Stamps recently offered 'commissions', and so I decided to treat myself - how fun to have yourself in digi format!  I was so excited to receive the image, and wanted to create a card straight away, so here it is.

The papers I used are from a $1.00 pack I bought ages ago at Target - it's purple so of course I had to have it, even though I didn't have a project in mind.

The purple roses I made from and Elizabeth Crafts die, and the sentiment stamp is from SU, a set called 'Carry On'.

Here is a look at the inside.

Because I have  a whole stack of this paper, a matching envelope was 'essential'!

Betty has the new set of Commissions (set D) up for sale in her store today.  I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU BETTY for doing this - I love her/me!

Thanks for stopping by today.

'Cinco de Mayo' - Sassy Studios FaceBook Challege (May15th - June 14th)

Hi Everyone

Today sees the start of a new challenge over on the Sassy Studio Designs FaceBook Page.  The theme for this challenge is 'Cinco de Mayo' - I just had to play along because I wanted to mount this little sassy on an Action Wobble Spring and make her dance (see the video at the end of this post.)

Both the background paper and the 'Fiesta' sentiment are files from the Silhouette online store.  I used the Cameo to print n cut the image and then coloured her with ProMarkers.

Then I added the Action Wobble Spring - she needed to dance of course!

I really hope you will join in with this months challenge.  We have made a few changes to how we run the challenge so please check out all the details on our FaceBook page.

See you next time.

Creatalicious 'Frame It' (sponsored by SSD)

Hi Everyone

Today Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the challenge over at Creatalicious, the theme is 'Frame It'.  I used one of the newer images (from the March release) 'Latte Mama'.

I decided to get a little out of my comfort zone with this image and colour the skin darker.  I am fairly happy with how it turned out (and I even remembered to note down the colours of the ProMarkers I used!)

The frame is from a file from the Silhouette online store, and the background paper is from Canvas Corp.  Here is a look at the inside.

Thanks for stopping by today, see you next time.

Friendship Gift Bag - A Scrap N Place

Hi Everyone

Once again I am guest designer over  at A Scrap N Place - as always Terri thank you so much for letting me play at 'your place'.  I have a really simple project today, once again with the Prima Dolls.  This time I played with the stamp and die sets.  Although I really love 'fussy' cutting and paper-piecing, I know not everyone does - these stamp and die sets are just perfect - so quick and easy.  I recycled this plain white gift bag, with 3 Prima dolls in coordinating outfits - how cute!

I made the gift tag with a computer generated sentiment.

Here is a list of the supplies used, all available from A Scrap N Place:
  • Prima Doll Stamp (and die)
  • Authentique Paper – Classique - Elegant
  • Pearls/Gems (coloured with alcohol markers)
  • Ribbon
  • Sentiment (computer generated)

Thanks for stopping by to check out my project today, see you next time.
