Sassy Studios Christmas Release - Silver and Gold Blog Hop

Hi Everyone

Welcome to......

You should have arrived here from Greg's blog, but if this is your first stop you will certainly want to start at the beginning from Sassy Studio because you won't want to miss anything.  Lindsay always comes up with fabulous images for our releases and this one is no exception - such cute images will certainly get you in the Christmas Spirit.

My project is made using 'Don't Open 'Til Christmas Sassy'.

In the photo it looks like a kraft cardstock bag, but it is in fact gold. I used my Cameo to 'print n cut' the image, then coloured her with ProMarkers. The snowflake dies are from Impression Obsession and Memory Box, finished off with some purple gems.  Here is a closer look.

I finished off the bag with a little bit of a 'sassy' sentiment - WARNING : If you blush easily don't look.

The sentiment is computer generated using 'Comic Slapstick' font.  I hope I have inspired you with my project and that you will join us for the challenge with a project of your own.

Here is a complete list of all the stops along your way, like I said you won't want to miss any.  Be sure to leave some love for all the designers for a chance to win some of these cute images for your own.

Blog order:

Enjoy the hop.

All Things Pretty Vintage Suitcase - Creative Fingers

Hi Everyone

Today we have a new challenge over at Creative Fingers, and our sponsor is The Cutting Cafe.  I was so lucky to be able to get to play with their Vintage Suitcase Box (the file formats include PDF, SVG, MTC and WPC) - it really is beautiful.  This is not a project that you can put together in 5 minutes, but it is so worth taking your time over this (and there is a step by step video here) - you really end up with something that everyone will 'drool' over.

Here is my finished suitcase.

The papers I used for this are from K&Co called 'Julianne' and kraft card stock.  As you can see I also got out my sewing machine and a Martha Stewart punch to add a little decoration to the trim.

Those little green brad 'buttons' I have had in my stash for ages, and I just loved adding them for a little extra detail.

This box is actually going to be a Christmas gift for my mum - I have filled it with handmade cards for various occasions so that she has her own supply to use throughout the year.

Thanks so much for joining me today - I hope you will join in with the 'Anything Goes' challenge over at Creative Fingers and check out the rest of the projects from the DT.

Snowflake Take Out Box - A Scrap N Place

Hi Everyone

I am so excited about today's post as it is my first designing for A Scrap N Place.  A Scrap N Place is a local scrapbook store here in Colorado - Loveland to be exact.  Now I am going to 'geek' out on you a bit ,(bear with!)... this store is like the TARDIS (I know Dr Who fans are still with me.)  The store looks quite small from the outside, but my oh my, once you are inside it is a veritable Aladdin's cave!

Terri, the owner was kind (or crazy) enough to trust me with some supplies, just to see what I could come up with.  Over the next 5 weeks I will show you the projects I made, and if you are lucky you may get a peek at a couple of extra projects (but these are going to be for a class at the store, so at the moment it's hush hush!)  Here is my first project.

This little box is made from a Silhouette file from the online store - how cute?  I changed up the basic box a little to add a window on either side and a snowflake die.  Here is a list of supplies I used (all available at A Scrap N Place.)

My Mind's Eye card stock - 'Vintage Christmas'
Kraft card stock
Impression Obsession Snowflake Die 024-X
Green Sheer Ribbon
Acetate

I hope you will pop over to A Scrap N Place blog and take a look at some of the great projects.  Thanks again Terri for this opportunity to play with your products.

Until next time.

Right on Target for Thanksgiving

Hi Everyone

First off I would like to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving - hope that you all have very special and memorable days whatever you are doing.

Today I have a card for the Simply Betty Stamps November Fan Page Challenge - and I have just made it by the skin of my teeth!  Betty created two really cute images for us, and I chose to play with this one Pilgrim Corinne, isn't this image just too funny?

I printed this all out using my Silhouette Cameo and coloured the image with ProMarkers.  The sentiment is made using the Silhouette sketch pens and a Lettering Delights font called 'Printed', the finishing touch is a little card candi coloured with the ProMarkers to match Corinne's outfit.

Thank you once again Betty for your generosity with these images, and thanks everyone for stopping by today.

Merry Kiss-Mas - Love To Create

Hi Everyone

It's Monday so time for another challenge over at Love To Create - this week the challenge is to use 3 of your favorite embellishments.  Our sponsors this week are Inky Impressions and Wings and Willows.

I just adore the Inky Impressions image I was able to create with, it's called Kiss-mas Penguins.

You may recognize the paper as it is from the same stack I used for last weeks Love To Create Sketch Challenge - Teresa Collins 'Christmas Home'.  So I have a couple of my favorite embellishments on the front of my card, they are pearls (mistletoe berries) and liquid applique (fluffy ear muffs)

The third embellishment that I love is on the inside - crochet trim.

The sentiment I made using my Cameo and sketch pens.

Don't forget to check our all the other projects by the DT, and come join us for the challenge over at Love To Create.

Until next time.

Keep Calm and Craft Gift Bag

Hi Everyone

Today I am Guest Designer over at The Bugbytes, and as always I want to say a big thank you to Pam for having me.  My project is a real quick and easy one - a plain red gift bag that I decorated up with a digital stamp which was a 'freebie' from Tamara of The Stamping Chef for her Face Book Fan Page - thank you Tamara.

I actually did not colour this with my ProMarkers but instead using my Silhouette Cameo to colour it then print and cut.  This fun image is very detailed, and so colouring with the Cameo took quite some time.  Here is a close-up.

I have a special purpose for this bag, it is going to hold some cards I have made for a swap I am doing in the next couple of weeks with some local crafting friends.  I can't say anymore in case one of them is reading this post, but I will post pictures of the card I have made and all the cards I receive after the swap.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Naughty or Nice Card - Love To Create Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone

Today we have a new sketch challenge over at Love To Create, as well as three wonderful sponsors.  Our sponsors are Whoopsidaisy DigisDi's Digi Stamps and The Stamping Chef.  So let's take a look at the sketch.

This week I got to create with one of the images from The Stamping Chef - Tamara is the artist behind all the wonderful images you will find in the store.  The image I choose is called Rockabilly Rebel and I just love her!  Here is my card.

The image is coloured with ProMarkers and the paper I used is from a Teresa Collins stack called 'Christmas Home'.  The only extra items I used were the three little red gems.

This card was made especially for my favorite local breakfast place - a couple of the servers who work there are as cute as the girl in this image, and I know they will get a kick out of the card.

Please come and join us over at Love to Create and check out what the rest of the DT have made - can't wait to see what you do with this sketch.

See you next time.

Born To Shop Tag (Paper Piecing) - Creative Fingers

Hi Everyone

Time for a new challenge over at Creative Fingers and our sponsor this week is Birdie Brown.  The theme as always is 'Anything Goes' with an optional twist of 'Paper Piecing'.  The image I used for this is called 'Retro Girl' - isn't she just so cute?

Despite having a Cameo to to the vast majority of all my cutting for me I still love picking up my scissors to do a little paper piecing - for me the results are tremendously satisfying.  The image is coloured with ProMarkers, then I paper pieced her dress and handbag.

The background paper for this tag is by Hampton Art - Ki Berry Blast paper pack, for the paper piecing I used the same papers but from the smaller 6x6 paper pad.  The lace and ribbon are from my stash, the flower and pins are from Webster's Pages.

Just so my Cameo didn't feel left out I used it and my sketch pens to make the sentiment.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today.  Come on over to Creative Fingers to check out what the rest of the DT have been up to and join us for the challenge.

I am also entering my tag into the following challenges:

  1. As You Like It - Spots or Stripes ('Spots' of course, totally my fave!)
  2. Addicted to Stamps - Anything Goes
  3. Fab n Funky - Anything Goes
  4. Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge - Add a sentiment
  5. Scrapper's Delight - Anything Goes

Until next time.

White on White (with a splash of non-traditional Christmas Color) - PCP Challenge

Hi Everyone

Time for a new progressive challenge over at Paper Craft Planet sponsored by Sassy Studios.  We had so many beautiful projects entered last month , everyone did such a fabulous job with Scarecrow Sassy.

We have a great new challenge for this month, and another fabulous image for you to create with - please check Paper Craft Planet to see how to get your free image and play along.  The image for this month is Santa Pin Up, and the challenge is to make a project 'White on White with a splash of non-traditional color' (no red, green, silver or gold.). Here is my project.

I made a 'tent' card, the instructions for which can be found here.  I used a snowflake embossing folder for the background and for the front of the card a folder called 'Swiss Dots'.  I punched out some tiny snowflakes to decorate around the opening and put a pearl in the center of each.  I colored my image with ProMarkers and finished her off with a little 'Stardust' stickles and a pearl earring.

Here is a look at it from the side, you can see how it is freestanding. The sentiment is from on old set of Christmas greetings that I bought years ago, I believe by Anna Griffin?????

Do come on over to Paper Craft Planet and join in the fun - we really love seeing what you create with these images, and there is a chance that you may win some more images of your own.

Until next time.

Thanks/Thanksgiving - Love To Create

Hi Everyone

Today over at  Love To Create we have a new challenge, the theme is 'Thanks/Thanksgiving'.  We are being sponsored by two great companies - Beccy's Place and Sassy Studio Designs.  For my project I used Cat Woman Sassy which is one of the newest images from Sassy Studio's last release.

The bag I made with the new Gift Bag Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers - so simple and fun to use.  I used my Cameo to print and cut the image and then coloured her with ProMarkers.  I took a fine paint brush and painted a little 'Cotton Candy' stickles over her top and mask.

The 'Thanks!' sign is computer generated, mounted on black cardstock for her to 'hold'.  She is actually a tag stuck on to the front of the gift bag, and inside the tag this is what it says.

Thanks for stopping by today to check out my project.  I hope you will join us over at Love To Create and check out the rest of the great projects by the DT.  Until next time.

Colour Inspiration - Love To Create

Hi Everyone

To day we have a new colour inspiration challenge over at Love To Create, and two great sponsors Bugaboo Stamps and Dr Digi.  Here is our colour inspiration.

Here is my card using Ambrose Dunderton from Dr Digi.

My image is coloured with ProMarkers and the papers I used are from a Glitz paper pad called 'Vintage Blue'.  The swirly leaf vine is a die from Elizabeth Crafts and the little birds are from a die by Memory Box, the sentiment is created using my Silhouette Cameo sketch pens. The picture doesn't show it, but I added some diamond glaze to his specs and watch to give it a little dimension.

I hope you will take a peek over at the Love To Create blog to see what the rest of the DT has to show you and join us for the challenge and a chance to win some cute digis.

Until next time.

Emo/Gothic Challenge - Creative Fingers

Hi Everyone

Today over at Creative Fingers we have a new challenge Anything Goes (with an optional twist Emo/Gothic.)  We are being sponsored this week by Dilly Beans and I got to create with their cute image called Lulu Framed - how cute is she?

As always I coloured my image with ProMarkers, and the papers I chose to finish off my card are all from my 'scraps'.  Originally I think I bought them in Target, they were in a $1.00 pack around Valentines Day.  The 'Heart On A Bow' is a die from Memory Box and the sentiment is from a Hero Arts Stamp set called 'My Type'.

And because I had an extra sheet of paper from this pack just begging to be used, I made a matching envelope!

I am entering this card into the following challenges
  1. Crafty Girls Challenge - Anything Goes
  2. In The Pink Challenge - Ribbons and/or bows (used a bow on my heart)
  3. I Love ProMarkers - Anything Goes
  4. Paper Pretties - Bold Colors

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope I have inspired you to come over to Creative Fingers and join us for the challenge and the chance to win 3 Dilly Bean images of your choice.
