"Moments" - Dabbling with Digital

Hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday - I have had a lovely time relaxing with my family.  I wanted to get back to some digital scrapbooking  and so today I have a quickpage to show you, that I did literally in a matter of minutes.  Quickpages differ from templates in that all the work is already done for you, all you have to do is slip your photo in, add journalling and a date - that's it, done!

Here is my page.

This page was designed by Karen Funk, and was a freebie from Design House Digital (unfortunately I think it is no longer available.)

Even if you are not 'in' to digital scrapbooking, quickpages and templates are great starting points for inspiration for 'traditional' layouts.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Wishing everyone all the very best for 2013.

Elegant Silhouette Card

Hi Everyone

Today I am guest designer over at The Bugbytes, as always Pam thank you so much for having me.  I want to share a special 'one off' Christmas card for a good friend of mine, she also happens to be the breeder of my dog and you will soon see why it is a 'one off' card.

I am in love with silhouettes, especially all the Christmas ones that have been appearing in the Silhouette online store.  This week I bought the silhouette of the lady carrying parcels and walking her dog.  I knew that my friend would love it too, but I wanted to make it personal and change the dog silhouette to that of my own breed (which happens to be a vizsla.)  Here is my card.

I just love how elegant these silhouettes look, and I especially love the little details like the buttons on the coat, and the ribbons on the back of her hat.

Of course what make it extra special for both my friend and me is the vizsla.

I used the Cameo to cut out the letters for my sentiment, the font is called Tall Deco.  A little tip here: I used the negative to help me position the letters, made it so simple.

A simple card with an elegant colour scheme of black, white, burgundy and silver - I hope she loves it as much as I do.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Christmas Cards with Attitude

Hi Everyone

Thought that I would share with you a couple of Christmas cards today that I made for some crafty friends, who would appreciate my sense of humor.

I just love this lady with 'attitude'.  These are digital images available from Bugaboo Stamps.  Just for a change I didn't use my ProMarkers to colour, instead I used the Cameo to print and cut these images.  I just love how easy it ended up being.  Here is a closer look at each card and the sentiment inside.

All the sentiments were computer generated, and the background paper is from Studio G.

Thanks for stopping in today.

Holiday Blog Hop - Terrific Tree Place Cards

Hi Everyone and welcome to the Holiday Blog Hop.  This Blog Hop is being hosted by Pam from  The Bugbytes, and many of the very talented designers on her team are taking part - I hope you will find lots of inspiration as you visit their blogs.

If this is your first stop on the Blog Hop you may want to begin with Pam and start the hop from there.

So on with the project.  I decided to make something that I needed for my Christmas table - place cards.  But I wanted something a little different, so when Kelleigh from The Digichick came up with this cute Terrific Tree file, I knew just what I wanted to use it for.

The file comes in just one piece, just fold along the score lines, add a little glue on three of the sides and you are done - easy peasy.  Of course I had to add a little 'bling'. Here's a look at the other two sides.

The paper I used for this is from DCVW 'The Glitzy Glitter Stack', and fits the color scheme for my table perfectly.  Not only does it make a great place card, but inside each box is a little surprise gift.

Here is a complete list of all the stops you can make on the hop.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope that I have inspired you maybe a little.  Now hop on over to Danita's blog to check out her project.
