Happy Birthday Betty! Secret Hop

Hi Everyone

Happy Birthday to Betty Roberts (Simply Betty Stamps) who turns the BIG 4 0 today!

We thought that we would make it as special as we possibly can, and so the Awesome Rachel Sharp at http://sharkie19.deviantart.com/?rnrd=118353 drew this wonderful image for us to use just for Betty's Birthday.  A whole bunch of super talented ladies have made some unbelievable projects which have all been mailed out to Betty (would love to see her face when that mail arrives!)

We thought that you would like to see these projects too, you should have arrived here from Jackie's blog, but if you have just stumbled across this by chance you may want to go back to the beginning to Corinne's blog, because you won't want to miss a thing.

Here is my card.

And a couple of close-ups.

Your next stop along the hop is Ruza's blog and I just know she has something fabulous to share.

Thanks for stopping by today, and once again HAPPY 40TH BETTY!!!!!

Putting On The Ritz

Hi Everyone

Today I have another DT project that I made for C Thru The Woods - using Alex.

I had this idea floating around in my head for quite a while - Alex dressed in white dancing with one of the Prima dolls in the style of 'Fred and Ginger'.  Love how this turned out, the background paper is from K & Co, and gives it a real 'Art Deco' feel.  The vase and fern are cut from a Silhouette file using my Cameo, and the sentiment is computer generate (font is 'Tall Deco')  The images are coloured with ProMarkers and paper pieced with Graphic 45 paper.

This is actually an easel card. Here is a look at the side view, and one showing the inside sentiment.

All the guy stamps can be purchased from the C Thru The Woods Store, or check out the list of stores to see if there is a retailer near you.

Thanks for stopping by today.  See you next time.

Cabrini Ornament Cards (2 ways!)

Hi Everyone

Today I am guest designer over at A Scrap N Place (can you believe Terri let me back - LOL!)  I have two Christmas cards to show you using this pretty  ornament die from Memory Box, and the 'Believe' Christmas paper from Authentique.

Here is the first card.

I loved choosing the different papers to piece together the ornament,

Here is the second card - it's a shaker card.

Here is a closer look at the gold sequins in the shaker part of the card.

There area bunch of tutorials available on YouTube for shaker cards, and Terri has lots of pretty sequins for you to play with.

Thanks for stopping by today.

A Little 'Aloha' to Brighten Your Day

Hi Everyone

I know it has been a long time since I lasted posted, but I have had a very busy few weeks - friends visiting from the UK and a trip to Hawaii, not to mention all the usual 'stuff'.  It is however good to get back to a little crafting, and I have even started to scrapbook again.

I am very excited to make this post today, as it is my first as a member of the DT for C Thru The Woods.  Charlene is the creator/artist behind those fabulous guy stamps that you see accompanying so many of the Prima doll stamps on various creations, I love the dolls, and it is great to have some guys to go with them, but also great to have these guys stand alone for masculine cards (finally!)

Here is my first card for C Thru The Woods, using Jeremiah.  If you take a look at this stamp you will see that he comes dressed in jeans and has a skateboard, but inspired by my recent trip to Hawaii I decided to change him up a bit.  Take a look...

All the paper I used is from an Echo Park 6x6 pad called 'Beach Boardwalk'.  I loved the colours of this paper, and it had kind of a 50's/60's feel to it - perfect for a surfer 'dude'.  I coloured the image with ProMarkers, paper pieced his shorts, and then cut the surfboard from a Silhouette file with my Cameo.  Here are a couple of close-ups.

I decorated the inside of the card, but left it blank so that I could add a sentiment later.

I just want to say a big thank you to Charlene for having me on her design team, I am so excited to create with these guys and see what she has in store for us all in the future.

All the guy stamps can be purchased from the C Thru The Woods Store, or check out the list of stores to see if there is a retailer near you.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed my project.

'Always' (DTBST #248)

Hi Everyone

It's time for a new DTBST challenge over at Sassy Studio Designs.  The theme this week is 'Metalology' - add some metal to your project.

Here is a look at my card.

Here is a closer look at the metal elements I have used, these are all from my stash and I believe were originally purchased from J's.

The image I have used is called Smooches - I cut out the image by hand and coloured her with ProMarkers.  The background paper is by Authentique.

Thanks for stopping by today to check out my project.  As always I hope you will pop over to Sassy Studio Designs to check out the projects by the rest of the DT and join in with the challenge.

Hot Under The Collar Guys (Part 4)

Hi Everyone

Today I have my final 'hottie' design project for Terri over at A Scrap N Place - thanks Terri for having me.

So this guy takes us back to the early 80's, I was in my late teens in the movie theater drooling over this guy with my friends.

The background paper for this tag is from Authentique - I thought the map was just perfect for this adventurer.  Of course underneath his disguise he is really Michael the fourth guy stamp from C Thru The Woods, but that doesn't stop the ladies getting excited.

Until next time.

'Beary Cute Couple' (LTC - Stampart by Kathryn)

Hi Everyone

Welcome to a new Love To Create challenge.  The theme for our challenge this week is to 'Fussy Cut Something' on your project -so excited for this as I love 'fussy cutting'.  Our sponsor for this week is Stamp Art Design By Kathryn.

Here is my card.

This image is called 'Christmas Smoochy Bears' aren't they adorable?  I coloured their fur with ProMarkers and then paper pieced their clothes.

The paper I used is from a 6x6 paper pack from Echo Park called 'Keepin' Cosy', the white trim to the hats and coats is made with Tulip puffy paint. Just added some ribbon, bells and a stamped sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my project, I hope you will join us for the challenge.

See you next time.
