Beautiful - Love To Create

Hi Everyone

Today over at Love To Create - 'Breast Cancer Awareness' (support/pink).  This week we are being sponsored by Whimsy Stamps and Eureka.  Here is my card using an image called 'Gracie'.

The background paper is from my stash, which is from a line by Heidi Grace, the flowers and butterfly and made with punches, and the swirly bow is cut with a Cheery Lynn die.  I finished off the card with a few pearls and a chipboard sticker (Cloud 9) from my stash.

Take a peek over at Love To Create and check out all the other great inspiration from the rest of the DT.

Ribbons and Lace Challenge - Creative Fingers

Hi Everyone

Today over at Creative Fingers we have a new challenge - 'Ribbons and Lace.  Our sponsor this week is Crafty Sentiment Designs, and they are offering 3 free digis to the challenge winner.

Here is my card.

The image is coloured with ProMarkers, the patterned paper is from Colorbok, and the flowers are made using CheeryLynn dies.  Here's a closer look at the flowers, I used my ProMarkers to colour the flowers so that they would match the image.

I used both ribbon and lace on my card - but most of it is hiding behind the image.

I hope you will join us over at Creative Fingers and take a look at what the rest of the DT have created.

Until next time.

Back To School - Love To Create

Hi Everyone

Today the card I made for the Love To Create 'Back to School' challenge, is using a beautiful image from our sponsor Simply Betty Stamps.  This image is called 'Artist London' and is available here.

The paper that I used is an old pack from Close To My Heart (sorry I don't remember the name of it.) The roses and leaves are made with dies from Cheery Lynn, and the blue bow around the top corner is a die from Memory Box.

I cut my image using my Cameo (print 'n' cut) and coloured her with ProMarkers.  I added the sentiment on the canvas using my Cameo and the Silhouette sketch pens.

I made this card for my daughter who recently graduated university and is starting her first job in WA, (a long way from us in Colorado.)  So although this is not a 'Back To School' card I feel that it would be appropriate given the rest of the sentiment inside.)

I finished up the project with a matching envelope.

Thought I would also enter this into:
  1. Simply Challenged Challenge - Something for a teacher.

Thanks for stopping by, take a look at all the DT projects over on Love To Create and join us for the challenge.

Dare To Be Sassy Thursday 174 - Mom's Day/For A Special Lady

Hi Everyone

Time for a  new challenge over at Sassy Studios.  Today the theme is 'Mom's Day/ For A Special Lady'.  In the UK (where my mum lives) Mother's Day is celebrated in March, so having already made my Mother's Day Card I thought I would use this challenge to make a card for a 'Special Lady' (don't know who that will be yet.)  For this card I used Glinda Sassy, she is one of the images from last month's release 'Oz the Great and Powerful'.

The 'Princess Carriage' is a file from the Silhouette online store, and was cut with my cameo.  The leaf swirls (Cheery Lynn die) and flowers (?Marvy punch) are cut from the DCWV Glitzy Glitter Stack ('Brights').  The sentiment was made with the Cameo using the Silhouette sketch pen and Lettering Delights Thin Font 'Printed'.

I printed Glinda on to some background paper (also a Silhouette file) and coloured her with ProMarkers.  Now I know that 'technically' Glinda is a 'good witch', but I think she fits the part of a princess on this card just perfectly.

Come and join us at Sassy Studios for the challenge and a chance to get you hands on some Sassy Girls of your own.  While you are there check out the all the beautiful creations of the very talented design team.

Don't forget about the New Sassy Studios Release Blog Hop happening this weekend.

Hope to 'see you' this weekend.

Dare To Be Sassy Thursday 173 - Fancy Folds

Hi Everyone

Today I am Guest Designer over at The Bugbytes - thank you Pam for having me. Time for another Dare To Be Sassy Thursday over at Sassy Studios, the theme this week is 'Fancy Folds'.  As soon as I saw this challenge I knew exactly what I was going to do, I had seen a beautiful "Star Card" on Pinterest and it was just begging for me to make it.  Here is the card all folded up.

The paper I used for this card is from Authentique stack called 'Renew'.  The embellishments are cut from various dies that I have : Mini Fanciful Flourish (Cheery Lynn Designs), Small Butterfly (Elizabeth Craft Designs) and the flowers are from a small flower punch I have (?Marvy.)  Here is a closer look.

Now for a look at the inside.

The image I used for the inside is France Honey - I just love her!  I used my Silhouette Cameo to print and cut her (also to make the offset) and then coloured her with ProMarkers.

The sentiment I made using my Cameo with a Silhouette Sketch Pen, and a Lettering Delights Thin Font.

Here is the link to the Star Card tutorial.

I hope you will pop on over to Sassy Studios and take a look at all the gorgeous creations from the Design Team.  I hope I have inspired you to join in the challenge and win some of these sassy images for your very own - don't forget if you use a Sassy Studios image you can enter twice.

Until next time.
